Job Description / Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Production Coordinator to manage our production process and make sure our products are of the highest quality. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating production activities, be highly organized, and have excellent communication skills. - Oversee production processes to ensure effective employee performance
- Assist with job cost analysis
- Conduct preproduction meetings to brief employees on jobs and procedures
- Train new employees on job-specific tasks and duties
- Perform production scheduling
- Fix equipment problems
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Desired profile of the candidate
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of production operations
- Provide hands-on assistance for all jobs, including production planning, set-up, and operation of machinery
- Assist with coordination of production planning, related functions, and schedules
- Control and coordinate all production processes
- Verify that production standards are met
- Ensure that employees comply with all safety regulations
- Indicate any areas that need improvement to management
- Assist in regularly reviewing and updating production design, equipment, and production techniques
- Oversee all quality control measures
- Identify opportunities for enhanced production
- Develop and maintain production schedules, inventories, and shipping requirements
- Make overall production decisions
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 2+ years’ proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment; ability to coordinate production scheduling and production needs with suppliers and vendors
- Strong analytical and communications skills
